MakerBot is providing additional resources to help businesses, schools, organizations and individuals continue their tireless efforts in 3D printing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for medical professionals. The company is offering companies across Europe free customer support, including its premium MakerCare Platinum protection plan , free of charge for 30 days beginning April 15, 2020. MakerBot's support agents will be at hand to provide fast, high-quality service and support to help customers tackle technical issues with their 3D printers during the production of PPE.

Two options are available:

MakerCare Platinum – Available for customers who have a MakerBot METHOD or METHOD X 3D printer. Agents are available on phone, chat and email. MakerBot will expedite replacement for defective parts, including accidental damage. In addition, the Platinum plan offers a hot-swap service, where the company will send a replacement printer before the customer returns the defective unit. This ensures that the customer will experience minimal downtime. Support response time for the Platinum plan is six business hours.

Free Support for MakerBot Replicator+, Replicator Z18 and Legacy Printers – MakerBot will offer free technical support via all of its channels (phone, chat, and email). Support response time is one business day.

MakerBot’s support teams are located in its EMEA headquarters in Germany and North American headquarters in New York. Support will be provided in English, and from 9:00PM to 5:00PM Central European Time, Monday to Friday.
