Right at the start of the year, at the beginning of the Arabplast trade fair on 5 January 2019, ARBURG's subsidiary in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) celebrated its ten-year anniversary with around 50 invited guests.

To our customers, I would like to express my special thanks for the trust you have placed in ARBURG and for the successful cooperation," said Andrea Carta, Director of Overseas Sales. She presented the traditional anniversary sculpture to Managing Director Joachim Branz on behalf of the entire ARBURG parent company.

Ten successful years
Since the subsidiary was founded in 2009, ARBURG has continuously invested in the Arabian market, which offers large potential with sophisticated technological applications and a growing number of plastic-processing companies, according to Andrea Carta. The focus of the subsidiary is the packaging industry, which has traditionally been a dominant force in the Arab states. Technical moulded parts and products for medical technology and the automotive sector are also important in this market.
