With the purchase of several EOS M 290 systems, Continental is investing in industrial 3D printing as a production technology. The EOS M 290 enables Continental to quickly and cost-effectively produce metal parts using additive manufacturing (AM) technology. To leverage the technology’s potential within the shortest possible time, apart from purchasing the systems, Continental has also collaborated extensively with EOS at other levels: EOS installed the systems at the Continental plants within only two months and subsequently helped the customer’s staff to launch its additive manufacturing capacities. The close cooperation when introducing the systems at Continental is being supplemented and continued by the comprehensive local EOS service network.
