Stratasys will use Cosmopack (Bologna, 16th – 18th March) to show how cosmetic packaging professionals can accelerate product development cycles and boost creativity by leveraging its advanced 3D printing technologies across the design to production workflow – from ultra-realistic functional prototypes to high-quality end-use parts and robust manufacturing aids.

On stand no. E25 (Hall 18), visitors can get an up-close look at how Stratasys’ versatile 3D printing solutions enable cosmetics industry designers and marketing departments to produce visually-stunning full-colour models with textures transparency and complex shapes, thanks to the company’s advanced full-color, multi-material 3D printing technology. This ability to quickly create high fidelity models speeds up decision-making and enables designers and marketing departments to accelerate the product development cycle.

The applications on show for end-use parts will demonstrate the efficiency of 3D printing for the packaging industry, with parts like caps/tops for perfume bottles or the application of unique 3D printed personalized elements for covers and lids. Running live on Stratasys’ stand at Cosmopack, the J55™ Prime 3D printer, will demonstrate how cosmetic packaging professionals can cost-effectively access the company’s PolyJet™ technology to combine realism and productivity in one printed part. The affordable J55 Prime provides tactile, textual, and sensory capabilities in addition to full colour and enables designers to produce parts in five simultaneously printed materials in a single print. Compatible with design software like KeyShot, the J55 Prime can create over 640,000 unique combinations – including Pantone Verified colors – while saving hours of time by replacing hand-painting techniques with vibrant color finishes.

Other Stratasys’ 3D printing technologies are revolutionizing the production of other applications, including the company’s flagship FDM® technology and stereolithography solutions for both prototyping and manufacturing aids. In addition, exemplifying the breadth of Stratasys’ growing 3D printing stable, Cosmopack visitors will also be able to see 3D printed prototypes and low-volume production parts developed using the company’s SAF™ technology.
