- The event, which was held for the first time, showed trend-setting 3D technologies for designers, engineers, entrepreneurs and decision-makers, thus continuing the 20-year SOLIDWORKS World tradition

- Visitors experienced an even more diverse range of topics with 350 technical sessions, 100 partners, customer references, Hackathon and Model Mania
- At the event, new SOLIDWORKS demos were presented that allow users to implement business innovations with 3DEXPERIENCE WORKS and the 3DEXPERIENCE platform

Dassault Systèmes (Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA) hosted 3DEXPERIENCE World 2020 at the Music City Center in Nashville (USA) from 9-12 February, where 6,000 designers, engineers, manufacturers, entrepreneurs, students and decision-makers from a wide range of industries and disciplines experienced the latest 3D technologies to drive the industrial renaissance and discover a new level of collaboration and innovation. This year's 3DEXPERIENCE World, which was held for the first time, thus built on the 20-year tradition of Dassault Systèmes' SOLIDWORKS World. Visitors were able to expand their knowledge through a wider range of learning events, presentations, products, new technologies and experts. In this way, new ways of transforming the world of tomorrow were shown.

One focus of 3DEXPERIENCE World 2020 was the offer for SOLIDWORKS users. They were given the opportunity to learn about new strategies for business innovations through demos about 3DEXPERIENCE WORKS and the digital applications on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform for collaborative design and manufacturing.

Further highlights of the event were:

A keynote presentation by industry mastermind Charles Adler, co-founder and former Head of Design at Kickstarter.com, Kickstarter

High-ranking customers, innovators and partners such as Sam Rogers, executive in additive design and jet-suit pilot at Gravity Industries; Mikael Kajbring, CTO at Awake, a manufacturer of electric surfboards; Mike Schultz, founder of BioDapt, a manufacturer of highly resilient prostheses; Matt Carney of the MIT Media Lab Biomechatronics Group; and other participants.

More than 350 technical sessions in the form of lectures, hands-on workshops and expert panels on the latest innovations in 3D design, data management, simulation and manufacturing.

The 3DEXPERIENCE Playground, a dedicated event space where participants could experience new technologies, tools and applications from more than 100 partners. Among other things, virtual and augmented reality innovations, a hackathon, the Model Mania competition and the influence of 3D technology in the fields of education and start-ups were shown.

"We are continuing the long tradition we have created for SOLIDWORKS users over the past few years. The 3DEXPERIENCE World is - just like last year's SOLIDWORKS World - a unique gathering of 3D enthusiasts to get creative together, exchange ideas and be inspired by future technologies," said Gian Paolo Bassi, CEO of SOLIDWORKS, Dassault Systèmes. "Participants of past SOLIDWORKS World events have noticed that they continue to receive all information as usual. In addition, we now also offer applications and application scenarios of 3D technology that they have not yet expected. For first-time participants we offered a large number of different solutions as well as experts with whom they could exchange ideas. Our goal is to present all the possibilities offered by the Dassault Systèmes ecosystem. In this way, we want to support our users in their work and in achieving their goals".
