Bayern Kapital is participating in Scoobe3D from Augsburg with its ERDF innovation fund as part of a seed financing round in the high six-figure range. Co-investors are two experienced business angels. The high-tech start-up has developed a high-precision 3D scanner in the handy and easy-to-use format of a smartphone. The Scoobe3D scanner creates professional 3D scans of objects, even if their surfaces reflect. The financing round was arranged through the BayStartUP investor network.

Airflow simulation has been used in a collaborative project to reduce the risk of virus spread within St. Francis Hospital in Marange-Silvange in northeastern France - the second most affected region of the country by IDOC-19. The project, part of the 3DEXPERIENCE Lab OPEN COVID-19 online community of Dassault Systèmes, is the latest to leverage the collective intelligence in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to quickly solve critical issues during the COVID-19 pandemic.

- Under the leadership of Aden Group, a consortium of companies will be formed to build hospitals in 100 days that are easy to operate in countries with urgent needs

- Comprehensive application of the virtual twin for the development of new hospitals - from planning, construction and procurement to operation and maintenance
- Virtual collaborative platform supports infrastructure and urban developers in implementing new concepts that increase agility and maximize project results
- Integration of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform for the cooperation of all participants throughout the entire life cycle

Dassault Systèmes' 3DEXPERIENCE Lab, together with start-ups and manufacturers, has launched several initiatives aimed at quickly answering pressing questions about the COVID-19 pandemic. The initiatives leverage the collaborative and swarm intelligence approach of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to quickly identify, qualify, design and manufacture solutions. These solutions are designed to solve current challenges and provide targeted support to hospitals. The initiatives include:

- Combat COVID-19 with technology to resume social and economic activity

- SIMULIA XFlow simulation software is used in China's largest modular hospital, built in 14 days to combat COVID-19

- The 3D collaborative platform approach in the cloud replaces an older, slower document centered approach

The current crisis reveals the weaknesses of globally networked manufacturing and its dependence on complex, widely dispersed and vulnerable supply chains. In order to remain independent and capable of action in crisis situations now and in the future, 3D printing is the ideal solution for self-sufficient and flexible manufacturing. In this context, new software tools are helping to digitally transform manufacturing.

Dassault Systèmes solutions help simulate and prevent contamination at Leishenshan Hospital in Wuhan

- Combating COVID-19 through technology to restore social and economic operations
- Use of the simulation software SIMULIA XFlow in China's largest modular hospital, which was built to treat COVID-19 patients in 14 days
- Moving to a 3D cloud-based platform approach instead of the slower and outdated document-based approach

Dassault Systèmes (Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA) reiterates its interest in supporting its customers, partners and communities worldwide during the current COVID-19 pandemic. This press release describes the initiatives that have worked in China and other countries, as well as the new proposals underway. The 3DEXPERIENCE platform, which drives industry solutions for collaborative innovation, modeling, simulation and data intelligence across multiple industries, is proving to be an important enabler for collaboration from anywhere and on any device.

Health care is changing. Patients are more demanding now than ever because they want to be an active part of their own treatments. Go to your doctor's appointment and have him or her treat you personally, taking into account your age, your medical history, your lifestyle and the characteristics that make you unique... This is what personalised health is all about.

- The two-year initiative is addressed to the public in ten "acts" - with a focus on the following topics: emotions, health, cities, nature, consumption, mobility, energy, water, cultural heritage and the future

- The campaign shows how experiences with virtual twins create sustainable innovations for a better future and is intended to encourage people to take action
- Virtual worlds combine the imagination in a meaningful and sustainable way with the goal of harmonizing product, nature and life
