No matter for which markets, for which industries - the CHIRON Group will present the appropriate, innovative solutions at EMO MILANO 2021. For highly productive, future-proof manufacturing processes with an optimised environmental and energy balance.

At EMO MILANO 2021 from 4 to 9 October, the CHIRON Group will be represented by all four strong brands: CHIRON, STAMA, FACTORY5 and the retrofit specialists CMS. And presents a comprehensive portfolio of solutions that already meet tomorrow's requirements today. To an even more productive, profitable and sustainable future.

What this might look like can be seen live under chip removal on two machining centres: the DZ 25 P five axis for double-spindle machining of complex, large-volume components. And the Micro5 for micro-machining of the smart kind, in the smallest of spaces and with very low energy consumption.

DZ 25 and DZ 28: highly productive machining for the automotive and aerospace industries
Whether in the booming e-mobility sector or in the structural change in the aerospace industry: here as there, maximum efficiency is the criterion when machining large and complex parts. The more productively a machining centre produces components, the shorter the cycle times, the more economical the use of space, energy and raw materials. Multi-spindle systems such as the new CHIRON 25 and 28 series with spindle distances of 800 or 1,200 mm are even more efficient and thus more sustainable. "The declared goal is for a DZ 25 or DZ 28 to produce two workpieces in the same time that a single-spindle machine needs for one workpiece - naturally also with the best quality. This not only pays off in terms of more sustainability, but also in terms of investment costs," says Dr. Claus Eppler, Managing Director (CTO) of the CHIRON Group.

Visitors to Milan can see live how the new series combine performance, precision and dynamics in a perfect and future-oriented way, on the DZ 25 P five axis with pallet changer for high piece numbers with short cycle times. The experts will present the 28 series and the 22 series with spindle distance 600 mm in application and in detail in the interactive showroom.

The smart future of micro machining: Micro5
Of particular interest to visitors from the high-precision micro-machining sector: Micro5, an extremely compact and dynamic machining centre of the FACTORY5 brand. The 5 in the name stands for five axes, for the ideal 5:1 ratio of machine size to workpiece, for 5 times less weight. And - keyword sustainability - for highest efficiency, the energy consumption is 50 times lower compared to conventional systems. At EMO MILANO 2021, the CHIRON Group will be showing the Micro5 live under chip removal and for the first time with the new, automatic Feed5 handling system.

Complete machining of six sides: the new CHIRON series 715
The latest addition to the product portfolio and the interactive showroom of the CHIRON Group, which trade visitors can "visit" via large screens: the new 715 series for multifunctional machining of workpieces, for milling and turning with or without bar or as profile machining. Consistently designed for autonomous machining of all six sides, the 715 series rounds off the CHIRON Group's portfolio in the field of bar machining and convincingly closes the gap between the CHIRON FZ 08 S mill turn precision+ and the STAMA MT 733. The unit consisting of the basic machine and workpiece automation enables short throughput times, and the loading and unloading of the tool magazine during machining also contributes to the favourable ecological balance.

Other trade fair topics for optimised manufacturing processes with improved environmental balance: the retrofit solutions from CMS for a longer machine life with increased productivity and reduced energy requirements. The innovative AM Cube 3D metal printer for building larger and more complex components as well as for coating and repair. An exciting use case demonstrates the perfect interaction of additive manufacturing and machining. And, for optimum support in the ongoing operation of the machining centres: the digital systems of the SmartLine portfolio and SmartServices. They provide an additional plus in efficiency, availability and productivity and for saving resources in the environment: maintenance at one location, for example, can be combined and scheduled on one date; thanks to remote support, malfunctions can be remedied remotely in the shortest possible time, without travel and corresponding CO2 emissions.
