Simplified CAD Models for Digital Factory Planning

A new 3D_Evolution Simplifier function now automatically generates envelope geometry especially for all major visualization tools. Weerg's passion for 3D printing turns red. The Pantone colour RAL 3000 is the first colour available for the exclusive industrial painting service recently launched by the Italian e-business known for its CNC machining and online 3D printing. The new colour finish can be applied specifically to all Weerg 3D printed parts, using both HP Multi Jet Fusion 5210 technology and 3D Systems' ProX® SLS 6100 Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) technology.

Fused deposition modeling with 3D printers using thermoplastic elastomers from KRAIBURG TPE

KRAIBURG TPE has performed extensive tests to examine the suitability of its thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) for use in additive manufacturing (AM). The tests have shown that almost all of the company’s TPEs can be processed with excellent results using fused deposition modeling (FDM) on devices from Pollen AM.

Atmospheric pressure plasma for process improvement in wire bonding

Atmospheric pressure plasma is used in wire bonding as a selective fine cleaning step to remove contamination and residues from the contact surfaces. In general, strong bonds between wire and substrate can only be achieved on clean contact surfaces (bond pads). Thus, plasma treatment has a considerable effect on the quality and consequently the reliability of the entire component. Together with TPT Wire Bonder from Karlsfeld and the joint partner Axend Pte Ltd., relyon plasma has investigated the effects of cold atmospheric pressure plasma on wire bonding with gold wire.
