Henkel Adhesive Technologies strengthens its capabilities for innovative electronics solutions by investing in ioTech, a UK-based start-up with an R&D footprint in Israel. ioTech has developed a disruptive Continuous Laser Assisted Deposition (C.L.A.D.) technology that enables the further miniaturization of a variety of applications in the electronics industry. With the investment, Henkel aims to drive synergies between its customer demands and its material solutions, laser jetted with ioTech´s disruptive technology.

Innovation in Progress is the theme of this year’s international purmundus challenge design competition. The aim is to celebrate the latest developments in the world of 3D and 4D printing; a world where attention is increasingly turning to the entire development and innovation process and not merely focusing on the technology. The purmundus challenge finalists and winners will feature in a special showcase at Formnext 2021 from 16 – 19 November 2021.

ERPRO 3D FACTORY (E3DF) is a French company founded in 2017 that specializes in large-series additive manufacturing. Since its creation, E3DF has already produced more than 19 million parts, most of which have been made with 100% bio-based Polyamide 11 powder. Arkema will acquire a 10% stake in E3DF to gain new expertise and accelerate the development of new applications for its high-performance polymers.

Henkel has been awarded as an “Advanced 4th Industrial Revolution Lighthouse” by the World Economic Forum and McKinsey & Company for the second time. An independent expert panel has recognized Henkel’s Laundry & Home Care production in Montornès del Vallès, Spain (Barcelona), as a global lighthouse and frontrunner in Industry 4.0. The company has already become a member of WEF’s Global Lighthouse Network beginning of 2020 with its production site in Düsseldorf, Germany.

The plans for Formnext as a hybrid trade fair concept, which include an in-person event from 16 to 19 November 2021 in Frankfurt, have met with an incredibly positive response from exhibitors: As at the end of April, 351 companies from around the world had already confirmed their attendance at Formnext 2021. The world’s leading exhibition for additive manufacturing (AM) and the next generation of industrial production has thus made significant headway in continuing the successful trend of the previous years.
