Visitors at Massivit 3D’s booth will experience live demonstrations of the Massivit 10000 additive manufacturing system- producing a range of marine applications.

Massivit 3D Printing Technologies (Tel Aviv Stock Exchange: MSVT), a leading provider of large-scale 3D printing systems, will present its latest technologies and applications at IBEX 2022 in Tampa, Florida at Booth 3-951 on September 27-29, marking the debut appearance of the Massivit 10000 at a maritime industry event. Event attendees will have the opportunity to see how large-volume 3D printing allows marine manufacturers to significantly shorten production lead times for nautical parts, molds, and prototypes.
The company will provide live demonstrations of the recently launched Massivit 10000 additive manufacturing system, designed to enable high-speed, direct printing of molds, tools, mandrels, plugs, jigs and fixtures for composite materials manufacturing across a range of industries. Massivit 3D will also showcase marine applications and printed parts produced on the company's Massivit 5000 large-scale 3D printer.
The Massivit 10000 is designed to empower composites fabricators to digitally produce complex, custom molds and tools within a matter of days, instead of weeks - thereby reducing downtime for vessels which is a recognized challenge for the marine industry. Based on Massivit 3D’s Cast-In-Motion (CIM) technology, the system combines ultra-fast, additive manufacturing with high-performance, thermoset casting materials to enable automated tooling for composite material manufacturing.
Launched earlier this year, the Massivit 10000 has been developed to overcome the bottlenecks of mold production for composite materials manufacturing by eradicating the need to produce a plug or master, thereby speeding up mold production time by 80%. The system reduces the numerous steps required in conventional mold production workflows for fiberglass, kevlar, and carbon components down to just four steps. It also decreases labor-associated costs by up to 90% and significantly reduces material waste associated with manual and machining methods.
Visitors will also be able to learn about the Massivit 5000 large-scale 3D printer, already adopted in the marine arena for high-speed production of custom radar masts, ergonomic dashboards, symmetrical stern extensions and other full-scale applications. The Massivit 5000 offers a unique build volume of 4'8” x 3'8” x 4'11” (1.42m x 1.11m x 1.5m) and brings to market enormous time and cost benefits for manufacturing large parts.
Based on the company's Gel Dispensing Printing technology - installed across 40 countries to date - the system enables large, sea-worthy end parts, molds, and prototypes to be rapidly printed with practically no required support structures and without excessive post-processing. The technology enables complex geometries to be produced that can serve as a core for composite marine parts and its output has been proven to withstand required minimum loads for a range of maritime parts.
CEO at Massivit 3D, Erez Zimerman, said “We are excited to reveal the Massivit 10000 at IBEX for the first time and to demonstrate how Massivit 3D is transforming marine manufacturing with cutting-edge, large-scale additive manufacturing innovations. We’re committed to enabling manufacturers to overcome existing limitations in production speed and size, and to facilitating dramatic cuts in production costs.”
