All-in-one production systems are an attractive alternative to highly complex international supply chains and a strong division of labor in value creation.
What previously only seemed conceivable for simple products made of uniform material will soon work even for electrical products with a mix of materials and a high proportion of electronics – thanks to MMAM and WEAM. Multi-Material Additive Manufacturing (MMAM) relies on a tool-changing system. Wire Encapsulating Additive Manufacturing (WEAM) means printing wire and sheathing. A world first with WEAM: the print head can rotate endlessly, thus improving the print image and wire integration.
