Colors bring products to life! This is especially true for 3D-printing and additive manufacturing. With appropriate post-processing and individual colors, raw parts can become high-quality products. That's why the Munich-based company DyeMansion picks up the "Pantone Color of the Year" and uses it to bring products to life.

Donates $100,000 (US) to Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) through the HP Foundation to research possible treatments for the virus

Deploys BioPrinters to four major research facilities:

Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), the largest and leading public research institution in Spain.
Monoclonal Antibody Discovery Laboratory at Fondazione Toscana Life Sciences (Italy), which focuses on monoclonal antibody (mAb) discovery against infectious diseases.
Center for Nuclear Receptors and Cell Signaling (CNRCS) at University of Houston (USA), which conducts a wide range of cutting-edge research to develop therapeutics for various diseases including viral diseases, cancer, neurodegenrative diseases and metabolic diseases.
Grenoble Alpes University Hospital (CHUGA) (France), one of the largest research and teaching hospitals in France, which focuses on diagnosis and follow-up of acute or chronic human viral infections.

Formlabs has fielded hundreds of requests, evaluated dozens of potential applications for 3D printed products, and is now supporting a handful of projects with high-impact potential. The current priority areas were selected based on clinical demand, technical feasibility, and regulatory implications. Priority areas for focus include test kit swabs, ventilator splitters, and face shields. Once designs have been tested and validated by the medical community, Formlabs has the resources available to scale production to tens of thousands of parts per week. We are ready to engage our internal resources and community of skilled volunteers to produce parts for healthcare providers all over the world.
