Advanced Engineering to host exclusive Meet the Buyer event with ADS
At this year’s Advanced Engineering UK, held at the NEC, Birmingham on October 30 and 31, businesses servicing the aerospace supply chain will have the opportunity to meet with buyers from the sector’s leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). This year's event, located behind the composites forum in the composite zone, is made possible through the exhibition’s continued partnership with ADS, the premier trade organisation for aerospace, defense, security and space sectors.
After the successful launch in 2022, with a total of 264 meetings between buyers and suppliers, the Meet the Buyer event is returning to this year’s show in what is an exclusive opportunity for ADS members and exhibitors at Advanced Engineering.
This year, ADS is providing the opportunity for businesses to make connections by matching suppliers and buyers whose purchasing requirements and interests align. Any interested buyers and suppliers that want to arrange one-on-one meetings are encouraged to register their interest on the Advanced Engineering website.
Participants will also have access to a networking lunch hosted by ADS, which will take place in the show’s networking area between the aerospace and automotive zones. This will provide an additional opportunity to form new partnerships with some of the world’s leading OEMs.
In addition, this year’s Meet the Buyer event will adopt a brand new seating arrangement, specifically designed to enable comfortable and productive meetings. This will not only accommodate for the high demand but will also ensure a more streamlined approach for these important business discussions to take place.
“Advanced Engineering’s priority is ensuring that its attendees get the most out of the event," explained Alison Willis, CEO at Easyfairs UK & Global, the organiser of Advanced Engineering. "The Meet the Buyer programme is a prime example of that — a unique feature of our show that initiates one-to-one meetings with key buyers who are actively seeking new suppliers. Crucially, ADS will be working diligently to arrange these meetings in advance, giving participants plenty of time to plan and prepare for productive discussions.”
“We are proud to support our members in conducting business both with other companies in the supply chain, and with Government,” commented Kevin Craven, ADS Chief Executive. “Removing barriers to business and increasing access to other companies is vital to increasing growth and prosperity within our sectors. ADS is passionate about facilitating business development for our members through events like this one and many of our other services."
ADS facilitated 105 supplier engagements that involved 90 brands as part of last year’s Meet the Buyer programme — a 132 per cent increase from 2022.
Such figures demonstrate the value of these pre-arranged meetings, which are well placed to develop these interactions into significant partnerships that drive engineering breakthroughs in the aerospace and defense sectors.
