Nine lasers for large metal parts

At Formnext 2022, Eplus3D will showcase its EP-M260 metal 3D printer, an industrial 3D printer with MPBF technology. Eplus3D also unveiled its EP-M1250 large-format multilaser machine for metal additive manufacturing on 1 November. The company says the new machine, which has a build envelope of 1258x1258x1350 mm3 and nine laser systems, will greatly facilitate the development of metal parts several metres in size.

Fast and precise coating

The "Dynamic Material Deposition (DMD)" process developed by Ponticon can deposit metallic materials onto metallic or ceramic components. In contrast to traditional laser build-up welding, the metallic powder is already melted in a laser beam before it hits the surface of the substrate layer by layer.
