Stratasys H350 printed parts before and after colouring and finishing with the DyeMansion print-to-produce post-processing platform.
With the Stratasys H350 3D printer, the companies have created a comprehensive reference architecture for production-scale end-use parts.

Stratasys Ltd. (NASDAQ: SSYS), a leading provider of polymer-based 3D printing solutions, and DyeMansion, a leading provider of post-processing solutions for industrial polymer 3D printing, today announced a strategic alliance to create the first reference architecture for production-scale additive manufacturing. The reference architecture outlines a process for using additive manufacturing to mass-produce 3D printed parts with consistent high quality and at competitive prices compared to traditional manufacturing processes. The architecture is based on Stratasys' new H SeriesTM Production Platform combined with the DyeMansion Print-to-Product Post-Processing Platform.
Last week, Stratasys introduced the Stratasys H350TM 3D printer, a powder bed system designed specifically for final part production. The new H350 printer is based on SAFTM technology and is designed to provide manufacturers with production consistency, competitive and predictable unit costs, and complete production control for volumes of thousands of parts. Stratasys recommends DyeMansion products for post-processing after evaluating them with the H350 printer and its original PA11 polymer material.
The DyeMansion Print-to-Product workflow complements the H350 printer with an industrial solution for part de-powdering, surface treatment and colouring. Depending on the requirements of the end application, customers can choose between two different finishes: an aesthetic satin finish that delivers a homogeneous, scratch-resistant surface, or a more functional finish that is fully sealed and washable. The print-to-product workflow enables numerous applications such as eyewear, automotive interiors or replacement parts, as well as medical devices and orthotics.
"Together with DyeMansion, we offer our customers a comprehensive, proven additive manufacturing process tailored to our H350 3D printer. This allows our customers to easily transition from powder to consistent, high-quality finished parts at scale. The collaboration will help accelerate the adoption of SAF technology for final part production," said Patrick Carey, senior vice president, Americas Products and Solutions, Stratasys.
The collaboration between Stratasys and DyeMansion has allowed the companies to combine their mutual expertise and industry knowledge to not only create the reference architecture, but also develop a unique, sustainable solution for de-powdering, chemical smoothing and colouring. Manufacturers can now cover their parts from printing to finishing through an integrated offering. This unique solution, compared to those available on the market today, creates tremendous added value.
"We are very happy that Stratasys has partnered with us to create this reference architecture. Together, we are able to deliver the best solutions to our customers and demonstrate the value of combining the new SAF technology with our solutions to enable high-value, high-volume applications across industries. The future of industrial 3D printing starts here. We are very excited about our partnership and look forward to seeing where it takes us," said Felix Ewald, Co-Founder & CEO of DyeMansion.
Stratasys and DyeMansion will present "Enabling Applications with a complete AM Architecture" at the AMUG conference in Orlando, Florida on Tuesday, May 4. Tim Heller, Commercial Leader for H-Series Products at Stratasys, and Michael Schorr, Head of Application Consulting at DyeMansion North America, Inc. will discuss the reference architecture and show the first parts produced as part of the process.
To further complement the reference architecture, the companies are working on a joint go-to-market strategy that will provide customers with solutions for different applications. Together, they plan to further develop the reference architecture with solutions for different applications. The process chain will be continuously updated with new cutting-edge technology from both companies and installed on-site at Stratasys Direct later this year. After successful installation, the factory concept will be accessible to interested parties in the form of on-site factory tours or workshops.
