XJet to showcase automated, repeatable, high-definition production as the SMART Station makes its European debut

XJet Ltd. announces today that it will present its portfolio of equipment for ceramic and metal end-to-end additive manufacturing at Formnext 2021, featuring the European debut of the SMART station. Furthering the industrialization of ceramic AM, XJet will demonstrate how manufacturers can achieve automated, repeatable production of high-definition AM parts using XJet NanoParticle Jetting™ (NPJ).

“This will be another landmark Formnext for XJet as we demonstrate automated production from support generation to support removal,” asserts XJet CBO Dror Danai, “Our portfolio empowers manufacturers to reap the benefits of AM together with the incredible properties of ceramic and metal materials at an industrial scale. We’re very much looking forward to meeting with the European AM community for the first time since Formnext 2019 and presenting our solutions.”

In addition to showing the XJet Carmel M 1400 AM System and XJet SMART Station live on stand D121 in hall 12.0 (ground floor), samples of XJet AM printed parts in a variety of materials will also be available. These include stainless steel, zirconia and alumina, which recently became commercially available.

XJet alumina and zirconia materials each offer performance and density equivalent to those of technical ceramics produced with ‘traditional’ manufacturing processes – including extremely high mechanical strength, high hardness as well as very good electrical insulation, high wear resistance, high thermal conductivity and resistance to high temperatures.

The SMART (Support Material Automatic Removal Technology) station automates the removal of the award-winning soluble support material.

Alongside, XJet’s ‘glory corner’ will showcase an array of interesting and trailblazing applications using XJet NPJ technology. The latest additions to the corner are ceramic parts used for XJet’s own Carmel AM systems, produced by the Carmel C in zirconia: “We’re not quite self-replicating AM systems yet, but it’s an exciting development, to be able to “walk the talk’ and enjoy the benefits of our technology for the creation of our own systems,” Danai comments. The samples join parts from a variety of industries from medical and telecommunication applications, to consumer goods like watches and earbuds.

XJet will also take visitors on a ‘sensational tour’ of the XJet stand, where show attendees will be able to use their five senses to experience parts produced on XJet Carmel AM Systems and get to know XJet’s material jetting technology.

Danai concludes, “After two years, we are excited to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our partners and to welcome the industry to a live event. And if any new channel partners are interested in working with us, we’d also love to welcome them for a conversation at the show!”

See XJet at Formnext on stand D121, hall 12.0 (ground floor) from 16-19th November at Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
