WASP thinks big  between sustainability, recycled materials, and 3D printing for customized serial production

At Formnext, the European 3D Printing Fair, we are talking about a technological-ecological revolution.

At Formnext 2022, the main European Additive Manufacturing Fair, WASP presents two lines of 3D printers designed and developed by two internal vertical teams on LDM and FDM: a line for fluid-dense materials and one for polymeric materials.

For the 3D printing of fluid-dense materials (LDM) there are 3 innovations: an entire customized serial production line for clay, a novel tool that changes the vision to a new concept in production mixing the capacities of additive technology, hence customization, with mass production. A continuous feeding system that eliminates micro air bubbles while also allowing an uninterrupted print feed. For those who print cements, geo-polymers and mortars, a sector that is still small, but which will see great development in the coming years, WASP has patented a new self-cleaning extruder, a real revolution that, for now, only those who print cements can fully understand.

The second line of printers developed by the WASP team dedicated to the plastic polymer sector (FDM) includes precision 3D printers and large printing area designed for sets of materials and product sectors.
The range of materials is very wide and WASP research develops multi-material 3D printers for industrial, energy, artistic, didactic, and rigid or flexible materials certified for the medical sector to create orthopedic busts and orthoses.
The focus on recycled plastic materials is an increasingly advanced strategic point for WASP which strongly believes in sustainability to protect the planet. With printing systems, pneumatic adhesion systems to the printing surface (the Vacuum-Enhanced print plates), systems for filtering printing fumes (HEPA Filter) and anti-wrapping extruders that limit the shrinkage of plastic materials, we are talking about an eco-technological revolution.
The latest addition to WASP is the 60100 HDP 3D printer, that supports a liquid-cooled pellet extruder capable of printing up peek in large dimensions, reducing the cost of printing material by 10 times, paving the way for new applications in the industrial field.
WASP puts its 10 years of experience in 3D printing at the service of those who want to print with robotic arms through a complete line of extruders for robotic arms to print plastic polymers, cements, and ceramics.
Visiting the WASP space in Formnext means living an experience that stimulates new technological solutions and the awareness of respect for the resources of our planet.

WASP is at Formnext in Frankfurt from 15 to 18 November 2022 HALL 11.1 Stand F31.
