CoreTechnologie celebrates its 20th anniversary in October 2019. The global player in the 3D software business can look back on numerous innovations and a consistent company history.
The software company CoreTechnologie GmbH (CT) is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. CT was founded in October 1999 by the aerospace engineer Dominique Arnault and industrial engineer Armin Brüning. The two visionaries have been committed to innovation right from the start and have pioneered conversion software and automation of complex digital engineering processes with their long-term strategy.
Established as a Global Player
Today, more than eighty employees worldwide work for CT, including fifty software development experts. The company from Mömbris is one of the renowned manufacturers of CAD converters and 3D tools and has an extensive and probably the most complete product range in the market for interoperability software. More than 500 customers around the world use CoreTechnologie's innovative software tools. When complex products are developed, such as in the automotive, aerospace, consumer goods and mechanical and plant engineering sectors, the tools of CoreTechnologie are in daily use. In addition to the conversion and healing software, the Simplifier module is generating lightweight CAD models, enabling ultimate know-how protection and has established itself excellently alongside the interfaces and data repair tools. In addition, many software companies in the CAX and PLM environment rely on CT interfaces, as the technology is also available as an easy-to-integrate SDK version.
CT understands itself as Research & Development Company. The company founders and managing directors Dominique Arnault and Armin Brüning divert the company from the German holding company. "We have always pursued a long-term strategy, both in terms of product direction, customer loyalty and employee relationships," says Dominique Arnault. An essential part of the strategy is to develop all products consistently. The CT philosophy attaches great importance to independence and rapid response to market requirements. The software 3D_Evolution has developed almost evolutionarily as well. Based on the standard software, new modules and functions are constantly being implemented and tailored to customer requirements.
Success Story
Following the founding of CoreTechnologie GmbH in 1999, CTN Nord, an independent company, was founded in Hamburg in 2001 to establish the aerospace and mechanical engineering sector in Northern Germany and to conquer the Scandinavian market. In 2002, CT France was founded for software development. This was an important step, as the highly professional and fast-growing team was able to create a wide range of products in a short time and thus respond to the requirements of international markets. In France, CT Vente has also established a distribution company to handle the territory of France, Italy and Spain.
The founding of CT USA in 2005 was another important step in the company's success story. The experienced sales team quickly gained a foothold in the US market and gained well-known automotive customers in the Detroit area as well as aerospace companies on the West Coast. In 2011, the Japanese CT Division was founded in Tokyo with continued success and major clients such asKommatsu, Hitachi and Mitsubishi. The CT Ltd. London launched in 2013 to serve the numerous automotive, aerospace, engineering and motorsport companies directly in the UK. Due to the upcoming Brexit, the London CT Division was relocated to Dublin in 2017. At the same time, CT's longtime partners in Italy and India are contributing to the company's success.
A special milestone in the company's history is also the construction of the new company building in 2015. The architecturally extravagant structure combines forward-looking design with innovative technology in the sense of a CO2 neutral building and business. Thus, the company makes its innovative strength and future orientation visible to the outside world.
Looking forward
In the future, CoreTechnologie will continue to rely on continuity and innovation, such as the new Additive Manufacturing products. The growing for additive manufacturing market is going to be another solid pillar for the already broad-based software manufacturer. The rapid developments in terms of Industry 4.0 and digitization are also generating interest in CT technology, as 3D formats are the most important source of information and are gaining in importance in all areas. "Our regular customers have been loyal to us for almost 20 years. At the same time we constantly gain new customers. On this basis, our goal is to take the company to the next level and to further develop our technology and global presence”, says CT Managing Director Armin Brüning about exciting future prospects.
