As part of its global solidarity program in the fight against the corona crisis, Henkel has announced that it will make production capacities available at short notice for the manufacture of disinfectants. Within just one week, a production plant at the Düsseldorf site was converted and the first 25,000 liters of hand disinfectants were produced. Henkel donated them to surrounding hospitals and public institutions. Next week, production will continue and about the same amount of disinfectant will be produced again.
Large structural applications to benefit from innovation in pellet printing
Royal DSM, a global science-based company in Nutrition, Health and Sustainable Living, is expanding its additive manufacturing innovations in fused granulate fabrication (FGF). The company is partnering with Juggerbot 3D, an additive manufacturing machine builder who recently developed a printer equipped with extrusion technology, to explore the untapped potential of FGF printing. Together, the two companies will develop high-performance pellet printers and materials for industrial additive manufacturing.
BIEGLO High-Performance Polymers is adding new ultra-high temperature resistant products to their portfolio. Well known for their High-performance polymer products and a strong player offering materials positioned at the top of the polymer pyramid, BIEGLO now adds Polybenzimidazole (PBI) and ultra-high temperature thermosetting polyimide (PI-s) to their established product families.
The new TQC Sheen Automatic cupping tester offers optimal conditions to define the resistance of paint, varnish or related products to cracking and/or detachment from a metal substrate by visual assessment. The instrument subjects the test specimen to gradual deformation by indentation.
KRAIBURG TPE has performed extensive tests to examine the suitability of its thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) for use in additive manufacturing (AM). The tests have shown that almost all of the company’s TPEs can be processed with excellent results using fused deposition modeling (FDM) on devices from Pollen AM.
