Enhanced the production line dedicated to 3D Printing
Weerg, a revolutionary Italian e-commerce company offering CNC machining and 3D prints online, confirms its vocation for innovation by inaugurating a new line for the production of 3D resin prints proposed in two versions: ABS like grey and Tmax transparent. This new material, which joins the Nylon PA12, until now the absolute protagonist of the additive manufacturing department of the Venetian company, is printed with MSLA LED with the exclusive proprietary 4KSPER™ technology, developed by the internal R&D department by implementing and redesigning systems already existing on the market.

MakerBot Continues to Rapidly Expand Industrial-Grade Materials for the METHOD Platform

MakerBot, a global leader in 3D printing and subsidiary of Stratasys (Nasdaq: SSYS), continues to rapidly expand its METHOD materials portfolio with PC-ABS and PC-ABS FR. The addition of these two new materials brings the number of MakerBot materials for METHOD to 10, underscoring the company’s efforts to deliver a wider range of industrial-grade solutions to open more additive manufacturing applications for engineers.

Company will donate thermoplastic resins that will be transformed into 3 million masks to be given away

Donation of thermoplastic resins to produce masks and medical gowns; More than 60 million masks or 1 million coats can be produced;
Donation of food staples for three months to over 1,200 households that work in recycling;
50,000 families around its plants in Brazil will receive personal hygiene and cleaning products;
Support to the Alagoas government in setting up a field hospital;

As part of its global solidarity program in the fight against the corona crisis, Henkel has announced that it will make production capacities available at short notice for the manufacture of disinfectants. Within just one week, a production plant at the Düsseldorf site was converted and the first 25,000 liters of hand disinfectants were produced. Henkel donated them to surrounding hospitals and public institutions. Next week, production will continue and about the same amount of disinfectant will be produced again.

Large structural applications to benefit from innovation in pellet printing
Royal DSM, a global science-based company in Nutrition, Health and Sustainable Living, is expanding its additive manufacturing innovations in fused granulate fabrication (FGF). The company is partnering with Juggerbot 3D, an additive manufacturing machine builder who recently developed a printer equipped with extrusion technology, to explore the untapped potential of FGF printing. Together, the two companies will develop high-performance pellet printers and materials for industrial additive manufacturing.

BIEGLO High-Performance Polymers is adding new ultra-high temperature resistant products to their portfolio. Well known for their High-performance polymer products and a strong player offering materials positioned at the top of the polymer pyramid, BIEGLO now adds Polybenzimidazole (PBI) and ultra-high temperature thermosetting polyimide (PI-s) to their established product families.

KRAIBURG TPE has performed extensive tests to examine the suitability of its thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) for use in additive manufacturing (AM). The tests have shown that almost all of the company’s TPEs can be processed with excellent results using fused deposition modeling (FDM) on devices from Pollen AM.

Atmospheric pressure plasma is used in wire bonding as a selective fine cleaning step to remove contamination and residues from the contact surfaces. In general, strong bonds between wire and substrate can only be achieved on clean contact surfaces (bond pads). Thus, plasma treatment has a considerable effect on the quality and consequently the reliability of the entire component. Together with TPT Wire Bonder from Karlsfeld and the joint partner Axend Pte Ltd., relyon plasma has investigated the effects of cold atmospheric pressure plasma on wire bonding with gold wire.

Neste and the Finnish industrial services provider Outotec have jointly demonstrated the suitability of Neste MY Renewable Isoalkane™ as a fully bio-based diluent for metal extraction in hydrometallurgical processes. The diluent is based on Neste's NEXBTL technology and is produced exclusively from bio-based waste and residues.
